Philips Live Image Guidance

Making the difference with Philips Live Image Guidance

80% say new Veradius Unity mobile C-arm easier to use1

Enjoy straightforward surgical imaging
New and complex vascular surgical procedures require surgical teams to work together efficiently and understand the exact nature of critical anatomy in relation to the devices used. With our Veradius Unity, we have re-defined teamwork during surgical imaging so you can experience a new level of efficiency in surgical procedures.

From the pioneer in mobile C-arms
This system is the latest in a long line of innovations from Philips that have consistently aimed at making surgical imaging simpler and better for half a century. It all began in 1955 when Philips designed the world’s first mobile C-arm.

User study1 validates workflow improvements
UseLab GmbH, an independent testing institute, carried out a user study with 30 US-based clinicians to validate the potential workflow improvements offered by the Veradius Unity.

Key results from the user study were:

  • 80% scored Veradius Unity as easier to use
  • 94% first time right positions during repositioning
  • 72% less frustration for operators and 48% less frustration for physicians
  • Fewer scout images (24% less for initial positioning and 55% less for repositioning)
  • Over 20% less time for positioning
Key results from the user study

1 Results obtained during user tests performed in November 2013 by Use-Lab GmbH, an independent company. The tests involved 30 USA based clinicians (15 physicians teamed up with 15 nurses or X-ray technicians), who performed simulated procedures in a simulated OR environment. None of them had worked with a Philips C-arm or with each other before.
